What is the “Ozone Sterilization Tent System” that kills viruses in only 10 minutes? Visible and reliable sterilization control
2020.08.13
Nosocomial infections in hospitals and other medical facilities. Death odors and secondary infections in police coroner’s offices and morgue rooms. These sites, which involve strong stress and high infection risks, require excellent sterilization and deodorization solutions as countermeasures. In this article, we introduce the “Ozone Sterilization Tent System” with the following features.
- Lightweight, compact, and can be installed anywhere
- Easy operation, no technical knowledge required
- Highly effective sterilization, with a virus kill rate of 99.9% or higher
- Safety used for sterilization of tap water
- The sterilization effect is reliably confirmed by the international standard “CT value”.
- No need for chemicals, no need to dispose of waste liquid, and low cost of use with only a household power supply.
- Sterilization in only 10 minutes and quick installation and removal
We have organized the information for medical professionals, law enforcement officials, and quarantine personnel in government offices.
Sterilization systems needed to protect healthcare workers
Hospitals attract a diverse range of patients to treat illnesses. This means that a wide variety of pathogens, such as viruses and bacteria, also gather in hospitals, which is why a high level of awareness of sterilization is always required in the medical field. The same applies to police coroner’s offices and morgue, where in addition to sterilization, solutions are also needed for strong odors such as the smell of death. In order to ensure the health and safety of those who work day and night to protect the lives of citizens, excellent sterilization systems are needed to prevent nosocomial infections and secondary infections. In recent years, solutions using ozone, which has high sterilizing power and safety, have been attracting attention.
What is the best "ozone" for sterilization systems?
Ozone is an allotrope of oxygen with the chemical formula “O3,” which is a combination of three oxygen molecules. Although it is generally known as the ozone layer, it is not yet widely recognized that ozone is actually a substance that has extremely high bactericidal properties. Ozone has a strong oxidizing effect and is already used in the medical field for sterilization and disinfection, virus inactivation, and deodorization of chemical odors and deadly odors. Although ozone is toxic, it is safe when handled properly. In some countries, it is used in place of chlorine to sterilize tap water, and in Japan and the United States, it is approved as a food additive. Ozone sterilization” refers to the process of sterilizing objects such as the human body or clothing by exposing them to ozone gas, which is generated by a special device. Ozone sterilization uses oxygen in the air to generate ozone gas, so no chemicals are required. As of 2020, its effectiveness against new coronaviruses has also been verified. Ozone sterilization has been verified to be effective against new coronaviruses.

Ozone sterilization equipment" that generates ozone gas to sterilize an entire space.
A special device that generates ozone gas is called an “ozone sterilization device. By simply connecting to a power source and turning on a switch, ozone can be created using oxygen in the air, and the object is sterilized by filling an enclosed space, such as a tent, with the gas.

Compared to other conventional methods of sterilization, there are five distinctive advantages
Advantage 1: Strong oxidative degradation capability
As mentioned above, it demonstrates a strong removal effect against viruses, bacteria, and odors. When the CT value (*see below) is 60, more than 99.9% sterilization effectiveness has been confirmed.
Advantage 2: No need to stockpile raw materials
The ozone sterilizer uses oxygen in the air to generate ozone gas, so no chemicals or other raw materials are needed.
Advantage 3: Can be powered only by household power supply
The device can be used by connecting it to a 100 V household power supply. No dedicated equipment is required other than the device.
Advantage 4: Easy to operate
Operation is started simply by turning on the switch, and the process is automatically controlled, placing no burden on the site of use.
Advantage 5: No emission measures required
Ozone does not produce chlorinated organic compounds, so there is no need to take measures for emissions after sterilization or deodorization treatment.
Sterilization data and "CT value" by ozone gas
The effectiveness of ozone gas is measured by a numerical value called “CT value. The CT (Concentration Time) value is an indicator of the effectiveness of ozone gas for sterilization, and is an internationally recognized standard. It is calculated as the product of concentration and contact time (= “Concentration (ppm) x Contact time (min)”). The higher the CT value, the more effective the sterilization. For example, a CT value of 60 can kill almost 100% of influenza viruses. The CT value of 60 is the value obtained when sterilization is performed for 10 minutes at an ozone concentration of 6 ppm.

Ozone sterilization tent system" to maximize the sterilizing effect of ozone gas
Since ozone’s sterilizing effect is weakened by exposure to air, an ozone sterilization system requires the use of a tent to create a sealed space. This is called the “ozone sterilization tent system. Air tents, which are quick and easy to set up, are used for this system, which has the following excellent features.
- Lightweight, compact, and can be installed anywhere
- Easy operation, no technical knowledge required
- Highly effective sterilization, with a virus kill rate of 99.9% or higher
- Safety used for sterilization of tap water
- Visual confirmation of sterilization effect with the international standard “CT value
- No need for chemicals, no need for waste liquid treatment, and low cost of use with only a household power supply.
- Sterilization in only 10 minutes and quick installation and removal
Configuration of Ozone Sterilization Tent System
The ozone sterilization tent system consists of the following four main components Tents made of ozone-resistant membrane material are airtight and can be operated safely and reliably from the outside without reducing the ozone concentration inside.
- Ozone sterilization air tent
- Air pump for air tent installation
- Ozone Generator
- Ozone Resistant Masks
Procedures for using the ozone sterilization tent system
Using the ozone sanitizing tent system is quick, easy, and reliable. The general process is completed in the following four steps, and the entire process takes only about 15 minutes.
- Set up the air tent at any location. (Takes about 1 minute)
- Install the ozone sterilization device inside the air tent and turn it on.
- The sterilization target enters the room wearing an ozone-resistant mask and is sterilized while checking CT values. (about 10 minutes)
- Sterilization is complete when the required CT value is reached. The patient leaves the room to complete the process.
summary
Easy, flexible, fast, safe, reliable, and low cost. The Ozone Sterilization Tent System is the ideal solution for sterilization and deodorization in medical and police environments.
