Taiyo Kogyo’s Australian subsidiary (MakMax Australia ) has completed a membrane canopy at a popular water park on Australia’s Gold Coast. Dream World, where the canopy was installed, is Australia’s largest theme park, combining several facilities including an amusement park and a zoo. The theme park’s pool facility has numerous attractions, and the canopy was planned to be built on the tower for the facility’s slides.

The canopy was to be installed in a very short period of time during the busy Christmas season. MakMax Australia was able to meet this deadline by pre-fitting the membrane canopy to the steel frame prior to lifting, thereby reducing the amount of work required to be done at height on the tower.

The completed canopy is constructed using two colors of mesh membrane material: orange and lemon. It protects visitors from the extremely harsh Australian sunlight and the bright colors create a gorgeous centerpiece to the pool area.
