This year marks 100 years since the Great Kanto Earthquake

(Tokyo headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Osaka headquarters: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Yumi Nomura), a manufacturer of large membrane surface structures (tent structures), civil engineering and logistics materials, and other products, will exhibit its air tents (product name: McQuick Shelter) and other products in cooperation with the 11th Disaster Prevention Week in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area (Disaster Prevention Week Executive Committee), which marks the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake and calls for strong preparations against the Great East Japan Earthquake. The company will exhibit its air tents (product name: McQuick Shelter) and other products in cooperation with the 11th Tokyo Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Week (Tokyo Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Week Executive Committee) and other events in various regions.

The 51st National Firefighting and Rescue Techniques Competition in Sapporo to be held in Sapporo on Friday, August 25, 2011

The 51st National Firefighting and Rescue Skill Competition in Sapporo was held in Sapporo, where firefighters selected from all over Japan gathered to compete in eight land-based categories and eight water-based categories. One Mc-Quick Shelter was displayed at this event. The McQuick Shelter is a hybrid air tent that can be quickly and easily set up in the event of an emergency or disaster. It can be set up by four women in 10 to 15 minutes. It provides immediate response capabilities for a wide range of applications, including disaster response headquarters and first-aid stations. More than 2,700 tents have been used in the past, including for medical use during disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake.

11th Capital Disaster Prevention Week August 20 (Sun) - September 10 (Sun) at Yokoamicho Park and other locations

During the 11th Metropolitan Disaster Prevention Week, a disaster prevention event in the Tokyo metropolitan area to coincide with Disaster Prevention Day on September 1, two McQuick shelters will be on display at Yokoamicho Park (Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo) on September 9 (Sat.) and 10 (Sun.).

2023 Yamagata Prefecture/Tendo City Joint Comprehensive Disaster Drill September 10 (Sun.)

The Yamagata Prefecture/Tendo City Joint Comprehensive Disaster Management Drill will be held to strengthen mutual cooperation among related organizations and raise awareness of disaster prevention in preparation for a large-scale disaster. During this drill, one Mc-Quick Shelter will be on display, as well as the “Delta Panel,” a flood prevention tool that guards the area of water intrusion with a strip of structurally stable triangular cross-section membrane structure to limit damage when flooding of buildings is expected due to a guerrilla downpour or other event.
