Supporting Early Recovery of Disaster-Stricken Areas with Disaster Relief Supplies
2021.02.25
In the past, we have supplied large tents for large-scale earthquakes such as the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake (1995) and the Great East Japan Earthquake (2011). We also provided four tents to Mashiki Town as a relief station and relief supplies storage area after the Kumamoto Earthquake in 2008, and campers and relief supplies to Ashikita Town and other areas after the torrential rains in July 2020. Based on this experience, we recognized that setting up tents in the chaos immediately after a disaster requires a variety of coordination and approval procedures, which can lead to delays in response. We hope that this disaster agreement will solve these problems. Shelter management is extremely important as an initial response to a disaster. We believe that the supplies provided through this agreement will greatly contribute to the comfort of evacuation centers in the event of a corona disaster from the perspective of preventing infection and ensuring privacy. We hope that the network of tent operators in the prefecture will be utilized to provide speedy assistance in the event of a disaster. We look forward to the synergistic effects of the sun and our respective strengths. We would like to be well prepared for the next disaster along with the progress of creative reconstruction. Recent natural disasters have developed on an unexpected scale, and as a cooperative we have been searching for ways to be of service to the people in the affected areas and communities. Through this agreement, we believe we will be able to put our “thoughts” into action. We believe that by procuring supplies quickly, we will be able to provide security and safety to evacuees, and to support the rapid restoration work at the site of the disaster. Taiyo Kogyo is a company that creatively solves problems in the world and values the provision of a more comfortable environment and affluent time in times of emergency. MEDICON, a protective clothing for medical personnel and visitors to the hospital, was also developed with the desire to deliver something that has never been available in society before. Through this agreement, we hope to grow into a company that can better meet your expectations. Taiyo Kogyo is a “leading company of membrane structures” that aims to maximize social value. Taking advantage of the characteristics of light and strong materials, Taiyo Kogyo is expanding its products into various construction businesses symbolized by the roofs of giant domes, as well as civil engineering, logistics, and even the environmental field.
