Held “Ceremony to Make an Offer to Join the Company in 2025

20 students were awarded certificates

(Tokyo Head Office: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Osaka Head Office: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Yumi Nomura; hereinafter “Taiyo Kogyo”), a company engaged in large-scale membrane surface structures (tent structures) and civil engineering and logistics materials, held an informal ceremony on October 1 to offer new employees for the year 2025.

Twenty new graduates (12 male, 8 female) who will enter the company in April 2025 The ceremony was attended by 20 new graduates (12 males and 8 females), President Nomura, and 3 directors. President Nomura presented each of the informal job offers with a certificate of employment and congratulated them.

After the ceremony, a round-table talk with senior employees was held, providing an opportunity for them to exchange questions they had about joining the company and how they would work, and to flesh out their image of what they would like to do after joining the company. Other recreational activities such as a self-promotion contest and a marshmallow challenge were also held to deepen the friendship among the informal employees.

初めまして。太陽工業の代表の能村祐己と申します。よろしくお願いします。私は、太陽工業と太陽グループの社長としてやりたいことが2つあります。一つ目はグループ経営をすることです。元々は1つの会社から誕生したグループ会社が、太陽グループとして合わさり、それぞれの力を発揮することで、さらに大きなことができると考えています*¹。そして二つ目はグローバルです。今、世界では戦争や環境問題など、本当に解決しないといけない問題に直面しています。自分たちが大切にしている人に将来困ることが起きるかもしれません。だからこそ、世界が大変なことになっている時に、太陽工業なら何かできるのではないかと思っています。

太陽工業は膜の会社ですが、ただの膜の会社ではありません。大地震が起きた時には、現地でテントを張って避難所をつくります。また、体育館に避難している人達のために、膜のパーテーションを提供します。大雨で川が氾濫した時に命を守るための製品もあります。皆さんが抱く太陽工業のイメージはいろいろあると思いますが、目に見える物だけではなく、埋立地などの土の中にも膜の製品はありますし、海中に膜でカーテンを作って汚れが拡散しないようにする製品もあります。これからは宇宙にも膜を持っていくことができるかもしれません。

太陽工業は、その時代、時代に関わっている会社です。大地震が起きたときには必ず必要とされますし、ワールドカップや万博など国際的なイベントにも太陽工業はいます。世界の一大事の時に必ずそこを支えているのは太陽工業であり、時代を作っていくことができる会社です。そのためには力が必要です。皆様の力をぜひ貸してください。

最後になりますが、太陽工業に入社を決めた皆様、そしてここに皆様を導いてくださった親御様や仲間、友人や知り合いの方々に心から感謝いたします。来年の4月に再びお会いすることを楽しみにしています。皆様、内定おめでとうございます。

本日は、私たち内定者のために、このような盛大な式を開催して頂き、誠に有難うございます。太陽工業に内定をいただけたことは、私たちにとって大きな喜びであり、また大きな責任を感じております。太陽グループの見据えるビジョンである「世界を、やわらかく。未来を、あたたかく」を実現するためには、社会が解決する多くの課題に挑戦しなくてはなりません。膜を素材とした製品は柔軟で自由な表現ができ、社会の解決すべき課題に挑戦する力を持っていると信じています。

また、私たちはひとり一人が唯一無二の個性を持っています。得意なこともあれば不得意なこともあり、自分の未熟さに不安になることもあると思います。しかし、この未熟さを若さゆえのパワーとし、太陽工業に新しい価値を創造していけるよう、協力し合っていきたいです。さらに、膜の無限の可能性を広げ続けられるよう、私たちも成長し続け、貢献できる存在でありたいと考えています。

Marshmallow Challenge

A “self-promotion contest” was held for informal job offers to get to know each other’s personalities and deepen friendship. The self-introductions were designed to let the participants get to know each other by introducing their hometowns, what they worked on during college, what they would like to do with their peers after joining the company, and so on. The theme was “If I were you, this is how I would utilize membranes! The program was a true testament to Taiyo Kogyo’s commitment to drawing out the limitless possibilities of membranes.

The program concluded with the Marshmallow Challenge*², a team-building activity. Team members were required to interact and cooperate with each other in order to build the tallest tower. The process of building a single tower naturally led them to experience the importance of “division of roles” and “communication,” and they were able to experience the skills and thinking required at Taiyo Kogyo.
