TSP Taiyo and ACTIO were born as a result of undertaking the construction and operation of large-scale pavilions at the Expo, including about 90% of the tent structures at the venue at the time based on “membrane” technology.

The Taiyo Group will continue to provide support for tent structures, venues, and facility operations at the 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo by bringing together its solutions. We will support tent structures, venues, and facility operations for various facilities by bringing together the solutions of the Taiyo Group.

Congratulatory speech by Yumi Nomura, President and Representative Director, Taiyo Kogyo Corporation

You are of a special generation that will witness the historic moment of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, Japan’s pride to the world. The Taiyo Group has been involved in many facilities at the Expo, not only in construction but also in operation. Behind this is the accumulated efforts and challenges of many of our seniors.

At the 1970 Osaka Expo, our company took a leap forward from being a mere tent company. Our seniors at that time devoted all their energy to the work site, even sparing time to sleep. That DNA has been passed down to us today, and it is what we are trying to achieve.

What we can do for the Expo is to do our best in the work in front of us and convey the charm of Japan to the world. Please do not be afraid of failure, take on new challenges, and grow.

I would like to thank your families and close relatives who have supported you. Let us build our future together. Congratulations on your new employment.

All of you will be new employees joining the company in this commemorative year. I hope that through your work at the Taiyo Group, you will realize your dreams and become the people who will lead the Taiyo Group in the future. Congratulations on joining the company today.

Representative address by Takumi Hamada, a new employee of Taiyo Kogyo

The “membrane” technology we are engaged in is not just a material, but has the power to brightly support people’s lives and society, and to create the future. As a member of Taiyo Kogyo from today, I feel a great sense of pride and mission in being a part of this.

In response to the various problems currently occurring in the world, it is essential for us to learn the skills and knowledge that our seniors have built up, while at the same time demonstrating our unique new ideas and ability to take action. We will do our utmost to become an asset as soon as possible.

TSP Taiyo New Employee Representative Speech by Nanako Iwai

At TSP Taiyo, as an event company, our employees are united in our quest to explore people’s thoughts and innovate their experiences. To be a part of that, we will do our best in everything we do, strive to become a full-fledged member of the company as quickly as possible, and become the right kind of people for our company.

All of us new employees are still inexperienced, having only been in the workforce for one year and not really knowing what is right or left. I am sure that there will be many things that we will have to deal with from now on, but we will give it our all.

Actio New Employee Representative Address by Ms. Riko Yamashiro

Actio supports the lives of many people through the operation of its facilities. As a member of such a company, we will take responsibility and grow so that we can continue to provide joy and excitement to our customers.

I am sure that we will face obstacles in the future, but each time we do, we will support each other with our colleagues, and we will positively tackle them without fearing challenges.

Last but not least, all new employees will work with sincerity and strive to contribute to the further development of the Taiyo Group.

About Taiyo Group

Taiyo Kogyo Corporation, TSP Taiyo Corporation, and Actio Corporation.

The Taiyo Group was founded in 1922 as Nomura Tent Shokai, and later restarted with a single sewing machine and a pair of scissors amidst the burnt ruins of the postwar period. Since its foundation, the company has been introducing unique products that take advantage of the characteristics of “membrane” materials, based on the desire to “contribute to society, even if only a little, and to deliver excitement to as many people as possible. Based on membrane technology, TSP Taiyo and Actio were born while undertaking the construction and operation of the large-scale pavilion at the 1970 Osaka World’s Fair, and the three companies of today’s group, which originated with Nomura Tent Shokai, were formed. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the group’s founding, we will continue to pursue the possibilities of membranes, spaces, and experiences while enhancing synergy among the three group companies. We aim to “make the world softer and the future warmer. We aim to “make the world softer and the future warmer”.
