Formed alliance with Daisei Warehouse & Transportation for repacking of synthetic resin
Refilling rental bags to improve logistics efficiency and reduce environmental impact
2025.04.18
Taiyo Kogyo Corporation (Tokyo headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Osaka headquarters: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Yumi Nomura), a company involved in large membrane surface structures (tent structures) and civil engineering and logistics materials, will begin a partnership with Daisei Warehouse Transportation Corporation (headquarters: Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Takeshi Tanaka) for the repacking of synthetic resin in March 2025: (Head office: Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Takeshi Tanaka) for the repacking of synthetic resins from March 2025. Through this alliance, Taiyo Kogyo will utilize Daisei Warehouse Transportation’s bases in Aichi and Fukuoka prefectures for repacking into flexible container bags (product name: Ticon) that it provides on a rental basis. The two companies will mutually introduce shippers who need to repack synthetic resin and propose the rental use of running flexible container bags that can improve logistics efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Synthetic resins such as polypropylene and polyethylene, which are raw materials for plastics, are distributed in granular form and delivered to plastic processing industries. In order to safely transport granular synthetic resins, flexible container bags, medium-sized containers that can be folded into a bag shape, are utilized. Currently, the supply and demand environment for plastics is undergoing a major transformation. As demand for finished plastic products weakens, the supply of raw synthetic resins is also changing. Imported synthetic resins are increasing and are increasingly packed in sachets that do not fit into the domestic logistics environment where the use of flexible container bags is the norm. Changing from sachets to flexible container bags at warehouses makes logistics, storage, and utilization more convenient. Running flexible container bags that can be used repeatedly do not require inner bags and can be filled to one ton, making them suitable for improving logistics efficiency and safety.
Synthetic resin repackaging using rental bags Logistics Flow
Taiyo Kogyo delivers rental tycons and pallets to Daisei Warehouse Transportation. Daisei Warehouse & Transportation repacks the products into tycons and ships them. The shipped plastics are transported to the plastic processing industry. Empty tycons are collected at Taiyo Kogyo’s distribution center for cleaning and maintenance. Running flexible container bags can be used many times, thus significantly reducing environmental impact compared to disposable cross-type bags.

Advantages of utilizing rental bags from Taiyo Kogyo
1) Ticon and pallets can be arranged in bulk
Ticon and pallets are arranged in bulk, reducing the burden on the shipper.
2) Integrated management of tie containers from delivery to collection
Used tie containers are collected by Taiyo Kogyo and cleaned and maintained at seven container service bases located nationwide.
(3) Reduction of repacking (repackaging)
The need for an inner bag, which is required for cross-type bags, is eliminated, reducing the need for repacking work. 1-ton filling is possible with these large bags, which can be transported efficiently.
Repacking can be performed by Daisei Warehouse & Transportation Co.
(4) High stability even when stacked.
Cross-type bags do not require an inner bag, so they can be stacked for storage. The high stability reduces the risk of accidents during storage operations.
(5) Immediate delivery of bags
Sufficient bag quantities ensure that rental bags can be provided immediately as needed.
About Taiyo Kogyo's Logistics Business
Taiyo Kogyo started its logistics business in 1963 with the successful development of flexible container bags suitable for the distribution of powder and granular materials such as synthetic resins, chemicals, foods, and fertilizers. Initially used to transport fertilizers and other products, its applications gradually expanded to include synthetic resins, chemicals, and food products, and it has led the granular bag market to the present day. Our strength lies in running-type bags that are not only manufactured but also cleaned, maintained, and reused, and are widely used in Japan as a logistics system with low environmental impact.
