Features

Strength and rigidity

Compressive strength exceeding that of wood is achieved by mixing and melting technology in which an organic strengthening agent is blended and the plastic is penetrated, fixed and cross-linked in a temporary passage of wood flour with 0% moisture content.

Slip Resistance

The surface has been scraped to produce the grain of the aggregate, making it as slip-resistant as concrete slabs. (In general, a BPN of 50 or higher is considered slip-resistant.)

Preservative and termiticidal properties

Because the plastic is packed into the fibers of the wood flour, the wood fibers do not absorb moisture. This means that it is not attacked by decay fungi, is not eaten by termites, and can be used in harsh outdoor installation environments with peace of mind.

Weather resistance (cold and heat resistance)

It does not deteriorate after repeated cooling experiments from -30 to -28 degrees Celsius, and its heat resistance does not soften at temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius, even under severe weather conditions.

Durability

The structure of the plastic, which is easily degraded by ultraviolet rays, is wrapped with a large amount of wood powder, preventing the plastic from deteriorating and boasting excellent durability even when used outdoors.

Processability

Using extrusion and injection molding technologies, it can be formed into any shape, including curved surfaces and sheets. In addition, because of its high woody content and high density, it can be easily cut and polished in the same manner as natural wood.

Sense of materiality

The surface is scraped to expose the aggregate wood, reproducing the feel, aroma, and grain of deep natural wood.

Color variation

By applying “wood protective coloring paint,” which is available in a variety of subdued textured colors, to the surface, it is possible to prevent the color from fading due to ultraviolet rays. In addition, it is easy to create colored wood by kneading in inorganic pigments during the manufacturing process. It can be used for a wide range of applications, including exteriors.

How EIN Super Wood is made

Waste wood and plastic, which would otherwise have been discarded, are decomposed and recreated into their original materials. Wood and plastic are then mixed and dissolved to micronized wood powder and plastic, which is then recycled as new wood.
